💡 Reminders:

  1. Guest checkout will be disabled when “manually approve customer” is turned on. Clicking cart will throw users to the login page.

  2. When “manually approve customer” is turned on, each customer that signs up will have approval status as pending, and shows up on the top of customer list. Merchant will then need to accept/reject them.

  3. If pending/rejected customer tries to log in, an error message will show up.

Enabling Customer Manual Approval

  1. From the left pane of the Dashboard click on the "Settings" and click "Business Profile"

  2. Under Additional Information toggle on the “Manually approve customer”

    a. If this is turned OFF- anyone who register or create an account on your online store will not require your approval to continue with having their own account (such as order history, delivery details , etc..)

    b. If this is turned ON- “Approval Status” will now show on the Customer List Page

Incorporating an approval process for customer sign-ups can be beneficial for both your online store and your customers. However, it's important to strike a balance between the level of scrutiny and the ease of the sign-up process to avoid discouraging potential customers from registering.
