“Easily manage consigned stock, configure markups, and view profit reports across suppliers and branches.”

Updated over 2 months ago

The Consignment Reporting Module allows merchants to manage consigned items in their inventory, apply configurable markups, and generate detailed profit reports by supplier and by branch.

This ensures accurate supplier settlements, transparent reporting, and better visibility into consignment performance across locations.

📑 Table of Contents

1. Tagging Items as Consigned

👉 Click on: Inventory Management → Select Item → Toggle Consigned = TRUE

  • By default, Consigned is set to FALSE.

  • When enabled, the system will treat the item as consigned stock.

💡 Tip: Only items marked as consigned will appear in consignment reports.

2. Configuring Markup

👉 Click on: Markup Type Dropdown → Select Per Supplier or Per Item
👉 Enter: Markup %

  • Markup can be configured at either the supplier level or item level.

  • This percentage will automatically be applied in consignment reports.

💡 Insight: Flexible markup ensures merchants can handle different supplier agreements without manual recalculations.

3. Processing Sales of Consigned Items

When consigned items are sold at the POS, the system automatically recognizes them as consigned stock and applies the correct markup configuration for reporting.

👉 Steps to process a sale:

  1. Click on POSSales.

  2. Search for the consigned item (by SKU, name, or barcode).

  3. Select the item from the catalog.

  4. If serial or batch tracking is enabled, choose the exact serial number or batch being sold.

  5. Click on Add to Cart.

  6. Proceed to Checkout → choose payment method.

  7. Click on Charge / Save Transaction.

  8. The sale will now be logged as a consignment transaction and automatically reflected in consignment reports.

💡 Tip: Always double-check the serial number or batch when processing consignment sales to maintain traceability.

4. Consignment Reports

The module introduces three new reports under POS Reports. These provide both transaction-level detail and consolidated summaries for suppliers and branches.

📊 Report #1 – Consignment Report (from POS)

Tracks SKU, store location, unit price, qty sold, markup %, total cost, and profit.

📊 Report #2 – Consignment Report (All Suppliers)

Consolidates results across all suppliers to compare performance and profitability.

📊 Report #3 – Consignment Report (Per Company)

Breaks down sales and profits per supplier with totals including VAT, withholding tax, and final amount due.

5. Tracking Sales Flow

  • Every consigned item tagged in Inventory Management flows through POS Sales and automatically reflects in Consignment Reports.

  • This ensures traceability from purchase to sale, reducing discrepancies and improving supplier trust.

6. Benefits of Consignment Reporting

✅ Accurate profit and cost tracking for consigned items
✅ Flexible markup setup at supplier or item level
✅ Transparent supplier settlements with VAT and withholding tax calculations
✅ Branch-level and transaction-level visibility
✅ Full traceability from POS to reporting
