Step 1: Access the Keyboard Shortcut Settings
Go to the POS Menu.
Click POS Settings.
Select Keyboard Shortcuts.
In this module, you can set up your desired shortcut keys or use the default commands provided by the system.
Step 2: Choose the Shortcut Scope
You’ll see a section called Scope, where you can define how the shortcut applies. The available options are:
Global Default – Applies shortcut keys globally across all stores and users.
Store Default – Creates shortcut keys specific to a store.
Register – Sets shortcut keys per register.
User Override – Assigns specific shortcut keys for an individual user.
Step 3: Select the Store or Register
If you select Store Default, you’ll need to choose which store the shortcut applies to.
After selecting a store, a pop-up will display showing the default commands.
Click Close to hide the pop-up, or View Active Shortcut Commands to see them again.
Step 4: Configure Shortcut Commands
A list of available actions will appear.
To change a shortcut, click Record beside the action.
Press the desired key combination (e.g., CMD + F).
Tip: Always press the modifier key (e.g., CMD, CTRL) before pressing the secondary key.
The new command will be logged in the field.
You can also Clear or Reset it to return to the default command.
Step 5: Test the Shortcut Keys
Now that your shortcuts are configured, try them out in the POS system:
Press CMD + F to search for an item.
Press CTRL + SHIFT + S to change the register.
