There are several different types of reports that can be generated using a POS system, including Sales by Item, Sales Over Time, sales by Product, Sales by Category, Sales by Vendor, Sales by Location, Sales by Channel, Sales by Customer, Sales by Employees, Sales Summary, Sales by Discounts, and finally Sales by Taxes
To view the Sales Report, navigate the left panel dashboard and select "POS" dropdown list, choose "Report" > Sales
Choose which feature you are using:
Sales by Item shows the number of each specific item,Item, SKU, Quantity Sold Amount, Average Price, Created Date that has been sold, giving you an idea of which products are selling well and which ones may need some attention.

Sales by Product gives you a breakdown of sales by product type, so you can see which inventory type are performing well and which ones may need some extra focus. -- Maybe instead of inventory type, we can include product categories

In order to view the Sales Report in POS, you first have to open your cash register in POS to view your catalog and view the reports. You may refer to the link here to learn to open your cash register POS.
Once you are in the POS Catalog, go to the "More" section
Click on the Reports tab
Numerous reports will be displayed such as Sales, Retail Sales, Orders, Customers, Receivable, Payment Received, Finance, Inventory, Cash Register, Commission, and Invoice. You will see the Sales Reports under the Sales Category
