How to Delete Business Location

Learn how to delete business location from business profile

Dizlog's new features allow you to delete inactive business locations, meaning no existing products, transactions, or other data from the system.

There are various reasons why you might need to delete a business location from records in a POS system:

Closure or relocation

Organizational changes

Data cleanliness and organization

System performance

Compliance and reporting

Security and access control

There are restrictions for deleting business locations, if a location has any of these you might have problem deleting your business location might want to contact Dizlog support if any comes up :

Location has an active register : to change cash register from active to inactive click here.

Location has an active employees : to delete or change employee status from active to inactive click here.

Location has products : If the location still has products a notification will show that cannot delete location due to location has existing products.

To Delete business location:

Choose which feature you are using:

  1. Click Settings dropdown list and click on Business Profile.

  2. Go to Location tab.

  3. Click on delete icon across business location name you want to delete.

  4. A popup notification to validate the action you want to make.

  5. Click on Delete.

  6. Like what said in the upper part of this article if a business location you want to delete has existing transaction such as, location has employees, products or active cash register the business location cannot be deleted and you might need to manage the location prior deleting.

    If a location has been successfully deleted a notification will popup : Location has been deleted.

    As always, following your organization's policies and procedures is important when deleting business location records. Ensure that you have proper backups or archives of any necessary data for compliance, reporting, or future reference purposes.

  1. Tap Profile from lower part of landing page.

  2. Tap Location.

  3. Tap delete icon across business location you wish to delete.

    Note :

    The location has an active register: to change the cash register from active to inactive click here.

    The location has an active employee: to delete or change employee status from active to inactive click here.

    Location has products: If the location still has products a notification will show that cannot delete the location due to the location having existing products.
