Here's how the cashback feature typically works:

Cashback is a marketing strategy and financial incentive offered by businesses to customers, typically in the retail and online shopping sectors. The concept is relatively simple: when a customer makes a purchase, they receive a certain percentage of the purchase amount back as a refund or credit, effectively reducing the net cost of the transaction.

There are 2 ways to enable this feature

Choose which App you are using:

Enable through POS Settings

  1. Click POS then click POS Settings

  2. Under Cashback enter % percentage default cashback

  3. Toggle on Enable Cashback

    Note : Only customer with email address on system can receive cashback

  4. Click Save

Enable through Customer

  1. Click Customers > Customer List

  2. Edit a customer's details by clicking on the pencil icon

  3. Tap "More" tab

  4. toggle on Enable Cashback

  5. add the amount of % for cashback

  6. Click on Update


Getting Cashback

💡 When customer checkout, they will be rewarded cashback according to the “cashback percentage” setting. By default, each customer will use the “default cashback percentage” set on the POS settings page, unless their “cashback percentage” was manually set on the customer

  1. Open the catalog and select a product to purchase

  2. Go to Cart and "Select a Customer"

    💡 Ensure that you have enabled cashback on POS or for the specific customer

  3. Process the order and check out as usual

  4. The receipt should show the earned cashback and total cashback

Using Cashback

💡You can identify if a customer has earned cashback as you can see their cashback amounts when selecting customers

  1. Open the catalog and select a product to purchase

  2. Go to Cart and select a customer

    1. Ensure a customer has a balance for cashback

  3. Click the ≡ 3 horizontal lines at the upper left part of the page

  4. Choose Cashback from the option

  5. enter the amount of cashback to use

    Note: Any amount will do even the whole amount available for cashback can be used.

  6. Click on Apply and see that it lessens the total amount to pay

  7. The receipt will show the remaining cashback amount and the cashback amount applied

  8. The Cashback will displayed as Discount on printed receipt.

The cashback feature benefits both customers and businesses. For customers, it provides a financial incentive to make purchases, helps save money on future transactions, and can be an attractive aspect of loyalty programs. For businesses, cashback can drive customer loyalty, encourage repeat purchases, and attract new customers.

It's important for customers to be aware of the terms and conditions associated with cashback offers, such as minimum spending requirements, maximum cashback limits, and any restrictions on eligible products or services. Additionally, it's essential to be cautious about overspending or buying items solely for the cashback benefit, as it may not always lead to the best financial decisions.

Enable through POS Settings

  1. From the Homepage of the App, Tap "POS"

  2. Open Register

  3. Tap "More"

  4. Tap "POS Settings"

  5. Under Cashback enter % percentage default cashback

  6. Toggle on Enable Cashback

    Note : Only customer with email address on system can receive cashback

  7. Click Save

Enable through Customer

  4. Tap "Customers"

  5. Tap Customer wish to enable cashback

  6. Toggle on "Enable Cashback"

  7. Add the amount of % for cashback

  8. Tap "Save"

Getting Cashback

💡Potential Cashback that Customer will earn will be displayed prior to checkout

Customer earned 55.00 Cashback that can be used for any amount for the next transaction.

Using Cashback

💡You can identify if a customer has earned cashback as you can see their cashback amounts when selecting customers

  1. Open the catalog and select a product to purchase

  2. Go to Cart and select a customer

    1. Ensure a customer has a balance for cashback

  3. Once Customer is selected it will automatically shows the Apply Cashback if Customer has a cashback balance

  4. Customer may decide if they want to use the max amount of cashback for their transaction or use it partially
