Introducing the Delivery Feature to the Point of Sale (POS) system for merchants who offer in-house or external delivery services, such as Lalamove. This update enhances order management by enabling delivery assignments, tracking, and a seamless workflow for delivery orders.
Key Features and Updates
Added “Delivery” as an option in the Order Type dropdown.
When “Delivery” is selected, a pop-up window prompts the user to input delivery-specific details for the order.
How to Use in POS
Go to POS Screen
On the upper left part of the screen, click dropdown next to "Order Type"
A pop-up window will show up for you to enter the details and Save
Then you're now ready to process order, select the orders and complete by clicking "Charge" then proceed with the selected payment method.
Delivery Modal Fields
The delivery modal provides fields to capture essential customer and delivery details:
a. Customer Details
Select an existing customer from the CRM or manually input the information.
Editable fields include:
Name
Address
City
Postal Code (optional)
Phone Number
b. Delivery Info
Input fields for delivery-specific details:
Booking Code: Unique reference for external delivery services.
Courier Name: Name of the delivery service or in-house rider.
Delivery Fee: Pre-set based on system settings but remains editable.
Other Fees: Additional charges applicable to the delivery.
c. Delivery Date/Time
A mandatory field required before processing the delivery order.

Delivery fees and other charges are clearly displayed as part of the order breakdown in the POS.
This ensures transparency and accurate accounting for delivery-related expenses.

Preparing: The order is being prepared for delivery.
Ready for Delivery: The order is packaged and ready for pickup by the rider.
On Its Way: The rider has picked up the order and is en route to the customer.
