With the new update to DizLog's eStore, customers now have the added convenience of paying for their purchases using Cash on Delivery for In House delivery shipping methods.
Not only does this provide a more seamless shopping experience for the customer, but it also allows businesses and merchants to save money on fees from third party delivery companies by utilizing their own riders.
This feature can be easily enabled in the Business Settings within the app.
To Enable In House Delivery
1. Go to Business Settings > Online Store > Shipping Methods
2. ✅ Check the box to set In House Delivery as default, and Accept Cash on Delivery
3. Complete filling up the details such as:
Location: Select the specific branch or location where the in-house delivery option is available.
💡 Pro tip: If the business have multiple locations, merchants can set the delivery price per location
Delivery Area: Choose whether the delivery service is available via postal codes (tagged at the customer's address on their profile) or within a certain radius from the location.
Delivery Zone Name: Give a unique name to the delivery zone to easily identify it.
Estimated Delivery Time: Indicate the estimated time it will take for the delivery to reach the customer.
Postal Code: Indicate the specific postal code where the delivery service is available.
Minimum Order Price: Set a minimum purchase amount for the delivery service to be processed.
Delivery Price: Add a delivery fee on top of the price of the items to cover the cost of in-house delivery service.
4. Don't forget to click Save.
How to use Cash on Delivery in eStore?
On the checkout page, choose Cash on Delivery and select In-house Delivery as shipment method.
Customer address within the vicinity of the store's location (or have the same postal code with the business) will be able to proceed checkout.
Review the items and the shipping cost before checking out to avoid delays and other inconvenience.
