How to Perform BIR Tax and Product Settings in Dizlog

This guide will help you set up tax configurations and product settings in Dizlog to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with local tax requirements. Proper configuration is crucial for generating correct invoices, sales reports, and tax summaries.


Step 1: Accessing Tax Settings

  1. Log in to your Dizlog account.

  2. Navigate to the Settings menu by clicking the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Taxes from the menu.

Configuring Tax Rates

💡 Automatic 12% VAT will be created for you and applied to all items once the account were activated.


Step 2: Configuring Product Settings

To ensure that your products are correctly categorized and priced with the appropriate tax rules, follow these steps:


💡 Again all items will have automatically 12% VAT included once the account is activated

Configuring Tax Exempt products:

  1. Go to Products & Services in the main menu and click Item List

  2. Click Add Item or select an existing product to edit its details.

  3. Fill in the following the required details and on the toggle selections, toggle on the "Tax Exempt"

  4. Click Save to confirm the changes.

Configuring Products allowed for BIR special discounts:

💡 If your business is under F&B, all products are automatically considered as allowable to be discounted with BIR discount codes.

**only follow the steps below if your business is under Retail:

  1. Go to Products & Services in the main menu and click Item List

  2. Click Add Item or select an existing product to edit its details.

  3. Fill in the following the required details and on the toggle selections, toggle on "Allow BIR Discount".

  4. Click Save to confirm the changes.


Step 3: Applying Taxes at the Point of Sale (POS)

When selling products through Dizlog’s POS system, the tax settings will be automatically applied based on your product configuration. To ensure the correct tax is calculated:

  1. Add the product to the sales transaction.

  2. The tax will be displayed on the receipt preview.

  3. Confirm the transaction and issue the receipt.


BIR Discounts

  • DizLog support discounts mandated by BIR Philippines.

  • The discount mechanism is different depending on your store setup.

  • You may select Retail / F&B when you enable BIR on Store setup.

Senior Citizens/Persons with Disability (SC/PWD)

  • 5% discount without VAT exemption

  • Total purchase amount of more than PHP 1,300, with at least 4 eligible items added to the cart.

  • Maximum discount that can be availed is PHP 65

  • Each person can enjoy discount once a week

  • Full bill discount 20%, with VAT exemption

Medal of Valor

  • Full bill discount 20%, with VAT exemption

  • Full bill discount 20%, with VAT exemption

National Athletes

  • Full bill discount 20%, with VAT exemption

  • Full bill discount 20%, with VAT exemption

Diplomats

  • VAT Exemption

  • VAT Exemption

Solo Parent

  • 10% discount with selected Products and VAT Exemption
