Stock Notifications and Negative Stock Alerts in Dizlog POS

Negative stock alerts inform the cashier about an insufficient stock of the item when he/she tries to sell more than what is available. It protects you against a negative stock in your inventory.

Please be sure that the " Allow Negative Stock " option is enabled in your POS Settings.

Question : Can I sell item / products with negative stock or no stock in hand?

Answer : Yes! even there's 0 stock in hand / negative stock, cashier will still be able to sell the item however the stocks will be negative amount.

You can still processed order just like an ordinary item with stocks, even with negative stock or no stock in hand.

A Negative Inventory Alert or Negative stock alert will popup, just click continue if you still want to sell with a negative stock.

Here's how:

Choose which feature you are using:

  1. Click "POS Settings" under Settings from the left pane of your Dashboard.

  2. To enable Negative stock alert in POS Catalog, toggle on " Allow Negative Stock ".

  3. Click " Save ".

    This item has only 5 remaining stock in hand.

    In POS cashier already sold this remaining 5 stocks from previous Customer so the stocks became 0.

    So this is where " Negative Stock " alert comes in. To make sure the stocks will not turn to - amount.

    If the cashier click " Continue " instead of Cancel the transaction, the stock in hand will be negative amount.

    So Yes, even there's 0 stock in hand cashier will still be able to sell the item however the stocks will be negative amount.

    LOW STOCK NOTIFICATIONS might also help to make sure to restock when stocks level down to a predefined stock threshold.

    To enable this option make sure to set predefined stock in item maintenance.

  1. From the homepage of Dizlog App, tap "POS" and tap "More"

  2. To enable Negative stocks alerts from POS, toggle on " Allow Negative Stock "

  3. Tap " Save ".

    This item has "Negative stock in hand".

    In POS cashier is trying to place an item exceeded with the current stock in hand, that's where negative stock alert notify.

    If the cashier click " Continue " instead of Cancel the transaction, the stock in hand will be negative amount.

    So Yes, even there's 0 stock in hand cashier will still be able to sell the item however the stocks will be negative amount.
