How to Create New Category Inventory for Rental Business

You can add inventory categories using the Stock/Catalog app tool. Categories are mostly used to organize your items/services and make it easier for your customers to explore based on a classification.

Before we begin, you need choose which inventory types your category should be assigned to. By default, there are four inventory types: Goods, Business Service, Operations Supplies, and Food Service.

Choose which feature you are using:

  1. Choose the "Category" option from the left pane under "Inventory / Catalog".

  2. Select " Add Categories"

  3. Fill out the following details:

    • Inventory Type: Choose "RENTAL SERVICE".

    • Category Name: This is the classification that will appear in your catalog.

    • Visible on Catalog: Toggle this to determine whether or not the category will be displayed in your POS Business Catalog.

To Add A New Category

  1. From home page, tap Inventory/Catalog

  2. Select "Add New Item/Services" then "Add/Edit Category"

  3. Fill out the following details:

    • Inventory Type: This will assist you in categorizing and managing your inventory.

    • Category: This is the classification that will appear in your catalog.

    • Visible on Catalog: toggle this to determine whether or not the category will be displayed in your catalog.

  4. Click the "Save" button.
