Overview
This guide explains how to add raw materials in your POS system and link them to finished products. By linking raw materials to products, the system automatically deducts stock each time a sale is made, ensuring accurate inventory and costing.
Step 1: Add Raw Materials
1. Go to Products & Services → Items List.
2. Click + Add Items.
3. Under Inventory Type, select Raw Materials.
4. Enter the raw material details (e.g., Item Name, Category, Unit of Measure, Cost, Initial Stock).
5. Click Save.
Step 2: Link Raw Materials to Products
1. Go back to Products & Services → Items List.
2. Search for the product you want to link (e.g., Coffee Latte).
3. Click View/Edit.
4. Go to the Raw Materials tab.
5. Select the raw material(s) from the list and enter the quantity used per product.
6. Click Save.
