Ingredient and raw material management is an important aspect of running a business, especially in the food and manufacturing industries.
With the new ingredient management feature in DizLog, you can now have more control over your inventory and increase the efficiency of visibility and costs by managing ingredients and assigning them to finished products
In this article, I'll guide you through the process of adding ingredients to the "Operations Supplies" and how to incorporate them when creating a new item.
Choose which feature you are using:
Click "+Add Items" from Stock/Catalog page
Select "🍴Ingredients" as Inventory Type
Then Fill out the rest of the details:
Add a product image: Choose from your own collection or use one of our available images.
Choose a category: Select a category of your item to add for classification, or create new category by clicking "New"
Notes: Depending in main product may add a category name based on the main product information
Click "Save"
Item name: Enter the name of the food in the menu.
Item description: (Optional) Include information about the food, such as ingredients or a simple definition.
SKU : A unique code for your item;
Cost price: Enter the cost price of the in
Initial Stock: Number of item you currently have
Select a supplier: Add an existing supplier or create a new one.
Unit of measure: Select the display of the unit of measure used to establish the price of the product.
Low stock alert: (Optional) Enter the number of stocks to receive alerts when the stock level of the product reaches the threshold.
Once all are filled out, click "Save" button.

: Variants can also be added to your ingredients
You may add more ingredients by doing the same process for your main item
Click "Products/Services" then click "Items List"
To start adding ingredients to new or existing item click edit "pencil" icon of the item wished to add ingredients to
Go to "Ingredients" tab
Select Ingredients/Raw Materials by clicking the dropdown list
Then select which ingredients/raw materials will be added ( you may add multiple ingredients/raw materials to your item )
You may adjust the quantity of the ingredients to be added in product by entering the number in the QTY field, the default is 1
Click Save once done adding ingredients
That's it! You are now able to add ingredients to your product, Raw Materials will be the same process.
Click Inventory/Catalog in the homepage
Choose"+ Add new item/service"
Select "Add item/service"
Fill in the necessary details
In the General tab:

Product Type: Select F&B Menu
Category: Choose the category to further categorize the product.
Add product image: Upload an image of the product.
Product Name: Enter the product name.
Product Description: (Optional) Enter a product description.
SKU : A unique code for your item;
Supplier: (Optional) Choose the product supplier.
Item Cost: Enter the item's original purchase price.
Location: Choose the location where the product is stored.

Location: Choose the place where the product is sold.
Tax-exempt: Toggle if excluded from tax calculation from checkout
Tax included in price: Toggle if price already includes the tax
Unit of measure: Choose the unit of measurement for the product (eg, per item, per kilogram).
Sale price: Enter the price of the product.
Wholesale price: Enter the price of the product if bought in bulk
Sell in store: Enable or disable selling the product in-store.
Sell online: Toggle to enable or disable selling the product online.
In Variants Tab:

Click on "➕ Add Variant" button
Enter Variant Name and click Done
Add option by clicking "➕ Add Option" button
Enter the option details (description for the variant) and click save.
💡 You may continue to add variants by clicking on the "➕ Add Variant" button
Once done, click on "Next: Set Variation Info" button at the bottom part.
Enter the Price and Stock quantity of the said variant.
5. Once all the fields are filled in with the details, press "Save item"button
Click Inventory/Catalog in the homepage
Choose"+ Add new item/service"
Select "Manage Ingredients"
Find the item to which you wish to manage the ingredients and click on "Manage Ingredients" button.
You may edit:
Quantity - edit the number of ingredients needed on the item
Remove Ingredients - delete the ingredients from the item
Add New Ingredients - assign new ingredient on the item
Click on "Save" button once done.
