This guide explains how to add new categories in the POS system.
Categories allow you to group similar products or services together for easier organization and faster checkout.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Go to Categories
From the left-hand menu, go to Products & Services > Categories.
You’ll see a list of all existing categories.
Step 2: Click Add Category
Click the + Add Category button.
Step 3: Enter Category Details
Fill out the required information:
- Category Name – (e.g., Beverages, Snacks, Services).
- Representation – choose Color & Shape or Image.
- If Image, upload an image (recommended size: 270px x 270px).
- Product Type – select whether the category is for Products or Services.
- Location – select the store/location where this category applies.
- Parent Category – choose if this will be a sub-category under an existing one.
Step 4: Save Category
Click Save.
Your new category will now appear in the POS system under Products & Services.
Additional Tips
- Use distinct colors or icons for faster recognition during checkout.
- If you run multiple locations, make sure to select the right location for each category.
- Categories can be edited later anytime if changes are needed.
