How to Add a Single Item for "Rental Service" Inventory type?

If you have a rental or online store selling grocery, convenience store or clothing items, you can choose "Rental Service" as the inventory type. We recommend to know the right type of inventory for your business. You may find more details about other inventory type here.

Before you add an item to your inventory, ensure that you have set up your inventory category. This can hep you further manage your items in the future.

Choose which feature you are using:

  1. Choose the "📦 Products/Services" option in the left pane under Inventory/Catalog

    2. In the Items tab, click"+ Add items"

    3. You will be directed to the Stock/Catalog page. You have six tabs to update or fill in:

      1. In the General tab:

        • Add a product image: Choose from your own collection or use one of our available images.

        • In the Inventory type: Select Products

          • Trackk inventory: Toggle on if you would like to count the stocks

          • Tax-exempt: Toggle if excluded from tax calculation from checkout

          • Tax included in price: Toggle if price already includes the tax

          • Use Production: Toggle if you would like to produce stock base from raw materials

        • Choose a category: Select a category of your item to add for classification.

        • Item name: Enter the name of the food in the menu.

        • Item description: (Optional) Include information about the food, such as ingredients or a simple definition.

        • SKU : A unique code for your item;

          • You can enter a code in three ways:

            • Toggle the button next to the right to Automatically generate a code.

            • Scan a barcode

            • Enter the code manually

        • Bundle: (Optional) toggle if group two or more food items into one stock keeping unit.

        • Item Cost: Enter the item's original purchase price.

        • Select a supplier: Add an existing supplier or create a new one.

      2. In the Sales Information tab:

        • Unit of measure: Select the display of the unit of measure used to establish the price of the product.

        • Value: Enter the value of the unit of measure used to establish the price of the product.

        • Item Cost: Enter the cost of the item

        • Retail Price: Enter the price of the product per UOM

        • Minimum Quantity: Number of items (in UOM) that is the minimum you would like to be in stock in each store of company at any given time. Should be inputted as a numerical value, as either a positive number (ex: 50), 0, or negative number (ex: -50). If the store-specific Minimum Quantity field is entered, it will override the company settings in that store.

        • Recommended Quantity: Ideal number of items (in UOM) that you would like to be in stock in each store of company at any given time. Should be inputted as a numerical value, as either a positive number (ex: 50), 0, or negative number (ex: -50). If the store-specific Recommended Quantity field is entered, it will override the company settings in that store.

        • Wholesale price: Enter the price of the product if bought in bulk

        • Low stock alert: (Optional) Enter the number of stocks to receive alerts when the stock level of the product reaches the threshold.

        • Available on POS: Toggle the switch to allow you to make the product available for sale on your POS system.

        • Available on the online store: Toggle the switch to allow you to make the product available for sale on your online store.

        • Returnable item: Toggle the switch allows you to specify whether the product is returnable or not.

      3. In the Shipping tab:

        • Weight: (Optional) provide the weight of the product in kilogram

        • Width: (Optional) provide the width f the product in centimeter

        • Height: (Optional) provide the height of the product in centimeter

        • Length: (Optional) provide the lenght of the product in centimeter

      4. In the Variants tab:

        Enable variants by clicking on "Add Variants"

        • Variant Name: Enter the name of the variant.

        • Option 1: Provide description for the variant

          💡 You can add additional description or details of the variant by clicking on the "➕ Add Option" button

          💡 If you have multiple Variants for the food item, click on "Add Variant" button.

          📓 To remove variant option, click on "Remove Variant" button next to the Variant name field.

    4. Once all are filled in, click on the "Save" button at the upper right to register the item in your inventory.
