I. Enabling Queue Management
Before setting up the display, you need to activate queue number generation in the POS.
1. Go to POS.
2. Open POS Settings.
3. Under Additional Checkout Options, enable “Assign Auto-generated Queue Number on Checkout.”
4. Click Save to apply the changes.
This ensures that each transaction automatically receives a queue number upon checkout.
II. Setting up Queue Management on the Queue Device
Next, configure the queue display device so it can show the assigned numbers.
1. Go to POS.
2. Click on Queue.
3. Select Add Queue Screen.
4. Enter a name for the Queue Screen under Name.
5. Specify the Location of the display (e.g., front counter, waiting area).
6. Select the Cash Register that the Queue Display System will be linked to.
This setup ensures the right register’s transactions are displayed on the queue screen.
III. Activating Queue Management on the Device
Finally, activate the Queue Display so customers can see real-time updates.
1. On your queue display device, log in to web.dizlog.com.
2. Navigate to POS.
3. Click on Queue.
4. Select the Display Icon to activate the queue screen.
IV. How the Queue Display Works
Once activated, the Queue Display will show two live status columns:
- Preparing – Displays queue numbers for orders that are still being prepared.
- Please Collect – Displays queue numbers for orders that are ready for pickup.
This allows customers to easily track their order progress and know exactly when it’s ready for collection.
