With the open tab feature, managing customer orders is now easier than ever before.
You can create, edit and save orders, all before completing the sale.
This eliminates the hassle of juggling multiple orders at once, and allows you to provide a more efficient and seamless experience for your customers.
Whether you're running a busy restaurant or a retail store, open tabs give you the flexibility to manage your orders in a way that works best for you and your customers.
To start managing open/save orders in POS please choose which feature you are using:
To Save open order for a specific customer for the 1st time
Click "POS" dropdown list from the left pane of the dashboard and click "Catalog"
Once you are ready to take an order, let's say for example, a table at your Restobar wants to start a running tab for their drink orders.
Select the orders now by searching the item from the cart
Once initial order has been placed in the cart to save it as an open order click on "Save Orders" tab
A selection of pre-defined tickets will show up to select in which ticket the open orders will be placed under
Select pre-defined ticket and click on custom ticket to customized the Ticket #/Name of Customer / phone number

Add notes for any additional remarks for the open order
Click on "Save"
That's it! You can save an open order for the first time.
As the operation continues, the open order ticket will elapse and we also start serving another customer table.
If the same customer reorders after few minutes to add to their initial order here's how:
Process the order as usual order place the items in cart
Click on "Save Orders" tab
Select the same pre-defined ticket
Click on "Custom Ticket" to customize
Click on "Save"
Checkout process for the open orders ticket for the customer:
If the customer decided to checkout here's how to merge all open order ticket in single checkout
Click on "Open Orders" tab
Select open order tickets by ticking the tick box
Once all are selected, click on the merge icon
Select a main ticket where all tickets will be merged under
Click "Merge"
Click on the merged ticket and click view
Select Payment Method and process checkout
For saving and viewing tab orders in the DizLog app:
Once initial order has been placed in the cart to save it as an open order tap on "Save Orders" tab
